The Story of a Photographer

Hi, I am Lara Lynn.

Im a lover of Sunflowers, Bluebonnets, watching funny movies, hanging out with my kids, quoting Friends and Seinfeld, meaningful tattoos and making people smile.

My Husband Chad is my best friend, we met on Bumble. It was the best blind date ever. Chad my kiddos and I live out in the country in North Waller. My parents are my next door neighbors and best friends. Between our two households we share 7 acres of tall trees, lots of dogs, a few cats, one fat pig and a random assortment of reptiles. Becoming a mother was the catalyst that caused my love of photography to blossom. I have 3 children, Preslee Lynn, Kaylee Pauline and Jaxson Wayne, I call them my Sunshines.

The year 2022 thru 2023 has been interesting and challenging. April 2022 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of the Breast. I started Chemotherapy and Targeted Therapy immediately. Chemo was a success and melted my tumor. September 2022 I underwent a Double Mastectomy, Lymph Node removal and DIEP Flap Breast Reconstruction. I completed all therapy May 2023. I am happy to report I am Cancer FREE! Cancer stole the idea that our world lasts forever, but it gave me the reminder to cherish everyday, love my people and not take the small things for granted. After all, the small things ending up being the big things don't they?

From Mommy to Mommy.... I know how fleeting the moments are with your children.

From the first smile to the first step, I know how you feel. I want to capture those moments for you to treasure forever.

I have felt the passion of love, the excitement of marriage, and the moments of "real life" that bring it all together.

I want to document those for you.

If you choose Sassy Massey, you are choosing a wife, a daughter, a mommy of 3, and a very inspired photographer.

“My daughter was SUPER shy and would hide behind me around people she didn’t know, but Lara magically turned her shy, candid shots into wonderful masterpieces. She got my daughter to just interact with me and my husband and then worked like a photography ninja to capture what happened naturally. I could not have been more pleased.”
